Nickname management services,
NickServ, permits users to 'register' a nickname, and stop others from using that nick. NickServ allows the owner of a nick to specify a variety of different settings such as a URL or email address. Having a registered nick will allow you to send and receive memos.

Commands:
-
REGISTER - /ns register password . - Register a nickname. To do this, you must have an account at http://www.vietmedia.com first in order to register nick in chat server. Whatever password you register on chat server at the first time, the server will send another password to your email address at yournick@vietmedia.com, and you have to check the email to get that password, and come back to chat server and reset your pass.
For example, if you want to use nick Bill, you must register username Bill as an account at http://www.vietmedia.com . Type
/ns register Bill, the server will send anonymous pass like ACBDE to the email account bill@vietmedia.com, and you have to check email to get that pass. Then come back to server and , after identify your nick by /ns identify ACBDE , you have to do /ns set password YourNewPassword.

PRIVATE Hide last hostmark and from LISTS. - /ns set private on. With PRIVATE set, you will not show up on any NickServ LIST's, and your last hostmask will be hidden from view on your INFO displays.
In order to use this command, you must first identify with your password (
/msg NickServ HELP IDENTIFY for more information).
